nowican.app is a reference tool, not a substitute for a current tested process. Always follow the tested source listed on each recipe — the USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning or the National Center for Home Food Preservation. Recipes tagged Community/Personal have not been lab tested. Recipes using Electric Pressure Canning and recipes in Infusions & Oil/Vinegar carry their own on-page warnings that you should read in full before preserving anything.

You are responsible for what you make and eat. The site is provided "as is" without warranties, and the operator is not liable for spoilage, illness, injury or loss arising from use of the recipes, timings, shelf-life estimates or pantry reminders shown here.

You need an account to save recipes, keep a journal, track your pantry, submit recipes or comment. Keep your login details secure and use accurate information. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

You can delete your account at any time; we may suspend accounts that break these terms, post unsafe preservation advice, spam, or abuse other users.

Recipes, photos, comments and journal notes you submit remain yours. By posting public content (submitted recipes, photos attached to them, and comments) you grant nowican.app a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute it on the site. Your journal entries and pantry items are private to your account.

Don't post content you don't have the rights to, or advice you know to be unsafe. All user-submitted recipes are labelled Community/Personal and cannot override the safety data on a recipe. Comments can be reported for review and removed at our discretion.

The free plan includes up to 10 saved recipes and one new journal entry per calendar month. Premium adds unlimited saves and entries, full pantry tracking with alerts, an ad-free browsing, batch check-in reminders and pantry use-by alerts. See plans for details.

If Premium is cancelled or lapses, nothing is deleted — your saves, journal entries and pantry data stay visible and editable, but new saves and entries are limited again until you're under the free caps or resubscribe.

Recommended Tools pages contain affiliate links. nowican.app may earn a commission from purchases made through those links, at no extra cost to you. Gear is listed on editorial judgement, and a commission never changes a recipe's safety guidance.

We may update these terms as the site changes; the date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it. Questions about these terms can be sent to the site operator through the contact details published on the site.
